Save account defaults and understand browser-local view preferences.

Separate account defaults from the page you last opened

OrderMap has account-owned preferences for a Default workspace and Default watchlist. These select records that belong to the current account. The browser also remembers certain layout conveniences and selected records for particular tools. These mechanisms serve different purposes, so the view you see after reload is not always explained by one universal 'last page' setting. Begin by identifying whether you are changing an account default, selecting a Map layout for the current session or restoring a browser-local Order Flow template.

Choose an account default

Use the Preferences form to select from the current account's saved records. Save the form and check that the server accepted it before testing a new sign-in.

  1. Open Settings in the outer navigation and select Preferences.
  2. Choose the intended Default workspace from your saved workspace records.
  3. Choose the intended Default watchlist from your account's lists.
  4. Save the preferences form and read the success or error state.
  5. Reload or begin a new signed-in session, then inspect the restored workspace name and watchlist rather than judging only the active page title.

Understand the role of a saved workspace

A general saved workspace can carry a page, symbol, session, watchlist visibility and a reference to a selected Map dashboard. Its contents depend on the record you saved. Choosing it as the default is different from simply opening a personal Map layout today. If the default opens an unexpected instrument or page, inspect the underlying workspace record before changing unrelated chart settings. Give records distinct names so a 'morning review' workspace and a similarly named Map layout are not mistaken for the same saved resource.

Recognize browser-local conveniences

The selected Order Flow template is remembered separately for each account in browser storage, while the actual templates and their settings remain account-owned server records. The inner sidebar's collapsed state is a local layout preference. Watchlist visibility also has account-scoped remembered behavior. A different browser can therefore expose the same saved records while beginning with a different local selection or sidebar state. This does not mean the server lost your templates. Open the relevant picker to choose the saved record explicitly before diagnosing a persistence failure.

Keep direct links useful

A direct terminal link can identify a particular workflow, including a support article or ticket. A support email should open its linked conversation after authentication instead of being interpreted as a request to load the ordinary market default. Within the application, the outer navigation switches pages and the inner navigation changes sections. The Help page keeps its own article and ticket addresses. If a copied link opens the wrong context, preserve the link and note whether you were signed out, already signed in or redirected through another authentication page.

Review defaults after account or record changes

A default reference must point to a record available to the account. After changing accounts, deleting a saved record or reorganizing workspaces, inspect Preferences again rather than assuming the previous choice is still valid. The same visible name can exist on different records, so use the actual picker selection and reopened contents to verify identity. If browser storage is unavailable, the interface can still operate, but some local conveniences may not survive a reload. Account-owned layouts, watchlists and templates should be assessed through their server save states separately.

Troubleshoot restoration with a repeatable check

Record the current account, chosen default workspace, default watchlist and the view that actually opens. Test after the preference save has succeeded, using the same browser first. Compare a normal reload with opening a specific deep link, because they represent different user intentions. If only the selected Order Flow template changes in another browser, manually select the desired account template there. If a default workspace restores a stale saved symbol, update that workspace rather than repeatedly changing an individual widget. Include the before-and-after names and visible save messages in a support ticket so the restoration path can be reproduced.
