Choose a built-in Map page

Use purpose-built starting layouts for exposure, flow, volatility, OI and futures.

Choose a starting layout for your question

Map is a collection of reusable analysis layouts rather than a single fixed chart. Its layout picker appears in the Map heading and separates Built-in pages from My layouts. Built-in choices include Dashboard, Exposure, Flow Analysis, Statistics, Open Interest, Volatility Analysis and Futures. They organize related tools and tab groups so you can begin with a useful arrangement. Choose the question first: use Exposure for modeled concentrations, Flow Analysis for executed options activity, or Futures for native execution and depth tools. A preset's name describes its organization, not a guarantee of data coverage.

Open and inspect a built-in page

Use the layout name in the heading to open the picker. The selected layout is checked, and a built-in that has account-specific changes can carry a Customized label.

  1. Open Map, then open the layout picker beside the symbol and linked-date controls.
  2. Select the desired entry under Built-in pages.
  3. Look through the visible panel titles and click their tabs to see related tools that share the same group.
  4. Set the page symbol and session, then review each tool's effective selection.
  5. Read the save state before deciding whether your next edits should modify this arrangement or belong in a separate copy.

Understand what each family adds

Exposure layouts collect sensitivity and level tools; Flow Analysis emphasizes captured execution measures; Statistics supplies contextual distributions and rankings. Open Interest focuses on contract counts and concentrations, while Volatility Analysis uses the available volatility inputs. The Futures layout places native views such as Depth Map, Footprint, DOM, Order Flow and OHLC within reach. Some tools appear as additional tabs instead of separate panels. Explore those tabs before adding duplicates, because an existing group may already contain the precise perspective you need.

Check linked selections after switching

The page's primary A link group coordinates compatible tools. A saved personal layout can restore its own A-group symbol and session when selected. Independent widgets and other color groups can retain different choices. This is useful for comparisons, but it means the layout title alone cannot tell you what every chart contains. Check symbol, session, expiration scope and date in the actual headers. If you intend a coordinated workspace, assign the related tools to the same group and verify the result with a simple symbol change.

Customize a preset without losing the reference

Use Add tool to extend the arrangement and Edit layout to move or resize groups. The tab menu allows actions such as Rename, Duplicate, Reset tool and Close tool when the layout is editable. A built-in override remains associated with its original starting page and can show Customized in the picker. Reset to built-in restores the reference arrangement when that action is available. If the customized version is useful, duplicate it first so restoring the built-in does not discard the only copy of your preferred working setup.

Create an independent layout when the purpose changes

The picker provides New layout and Duplicate as distinct starting points. New creates a personal arrangement to build up, while Duplicate starts from the current document. Name personal layouts by their use, such as 'SPX regular-session comparison' or 'MES footprint review,' rather than giving several copies the same vague name. My layouts holds saved account-owned records. These records retain structure and settings, but a copied layout does not copy market observations into an offline archive or extend the account's historical-data permissions.

Troubleshoot a layout that opens empty

First distinguish a valid empty layout from a populated layout whose tools have unavailable inputs. An empty arrangement offers Add tool. A layout that cannot be opened can offer a fallback to Exposure. For a populated preset, inspect the selected tab, source state and filters before resetting the entire page. A historical date, unsupported session or missing source can make a correct layout look blank. If a personal layout is read-only or has a save conflict, resolve that state before rearranging it. Report the layout name, selected instrument and affected tool titles when asking for help.
