A tour of OrderMap
Find the right page, choose an instrument and understand your first market view.
Find the right part of the terminal
OrderMap separates market analysis from account and support workflows. The outer navigation contains Map, Gamma, Options Flow, Order Flow and Surfaces. Map lets you arrange tools together; Gamma and Options Flow provide organized sections for a particular investigation. Order Flow focuses on futures executions and displayed liquidity. Surfaces provides volatility and exposure views with its own controls. Settings, Developers and Help open dedicated pages. Internal appears for authorized operators. These are views of available data, so opening a page does not by itself confirm that its instruments are included in your access.
Make a deliberate first selection
Start with one instrument and one question. For example, use Gamma when you want to compare exposure across strikes, then open Options Flow to inspect the executions behind a separate flow question. Match the selections before comparing the results.
- Choose a page in the outer navigation and a section in its inner sidebar.
- Read the instrument name in the current tool header; several widgets can have independent selections.
- Set the session and check the displayed trading date. Use RTH as the starting options session when it fits your question.
- Review any loading, partial, unavailable or source-time information before reading the largest number on the screen.
Understand panels, tabs and the inner sidebar
The inner sidebar changes the section or built-in layout within your current page. Its collapse control saves screen space while keeping the section mounted. A Map panel can contain several tabs, each representing a separate tool. Clicking another tab changes which tool you see without turning every hidden tool into a second independent market connection. The tab menu provides actions appropriate to that tool and page. You may see Settings, Reset tool, pinning or maximizing controls; editable Map layouts also allow arrangement and tool-management actions.
Use the watchlist and search with context
The right watchlist offers quick access to saved instruments and their quotes. Manage its symbols when your working set changes, then select a row rather than assuming a chart follows whichever quote you last looked at. The instrument search in the top bar opens with Command or Control plus K. Search results identify instruments; chart-specific pickers can also require asset type, exchange or an exact option contract. Help and Internal Tickets use the main space without the watchlist, so support conversations have room to display their messages and pictures.
Read values alongside their units
Executed option premium, modeled exposure, implied volatility, open interest and futures volume answer different questions. A large positive GEX value is model sensitivity, not a forecast or a quantity of futures traded. A futures Delta column reports classified execution volume, while Order Book reports resting displayed size. Missing values stay missing when the required evidence is absent. When comparing two tools, check symbol family, exact contract where applicable, session, date, expiration selection, range and displayed units. Similar colors or titles do not establish identical inputs.
Save the work you intend to reuse
Map documents retain panel positions, tab groups, widget settings and compatible linked selections. Settings → Preferences can choose an account-owned default workspace and watchlist. An OHLC chart also has account chart themes and instrument-specific drawings; those resources have different purposes from a whole workspace. Order Flow templates save that page's modes and appearance. Read each saved indicator after making changes. If another browser has edited the same record and a conflict appears, review the current saved version before reapplying your changes rather than repeatedly issuing an outdated save.
Get useful help when a view looks wrong
First identify whether the issue is navigation, a restrictive selection, an unavailable source or stale data. An empty chart with a specific historical date needs a different investigation from a working chart whose prices are outside a manually zoomed scale. Open Help for searchable articles or create a ticket. Include the page, exact instrument, session, trading date, relevant time and the visible status text. Keep chart axes and headers in screenshots. OrderMap is a read-only market terminal; the DOM and chart annotations do not provide an order-placement or cancellation workflow.
