Change the application theme and sidebar appearance

Choose among 24 palettes and preview account appearance changes immediately.

Open the application appearance controls

Go to Settings → Preferences → Application theme. The palette is an account preference that changes the application's surfaces, text, controls and neutral chart colors. It is separate from choosing a market dataset or saving a chart's custom visual template. Start with the current palette visible so you can compare readability of the same chart, table and sidebar while changing it. Your market observations do not change when a palette changes; their colors and surrounding presentation can change without creating a different data capture.

Choose among the available palettes

The application offers 24 named palettes, including Dark Cyan, Sand, Forest, Deep Ocean, Midnight Purple and Twilight. Dark Cyan preserves the terminal's familiar Cyan accent. Select a palette and inspect its immediate preview across the settings view and nearby navigation. The name identifies a complete application palette rather than a single candle color. When choosing for a bright or dim display, read both positive and negative values, muted labels and selected controls so the result remains clear in the actual work you perform.

Wait for the appearance save

Palette selection previews and autosaves through the account preference workflow. Check the save state before leaving Settings or rapidly changing several other account controls. An immediate preview can appear before the server confirms persistence. If a save fails, the currently visible preview is not sufficient proof that another session will load the same preference. Reload the current account when a revision conflict requires it, then reapply the intended palette. Avoid treating an older settings tab as the definitive saved state.

  1. Open Preferences and select the intended application palette.
  2. Inspect navigation, muted text and the same open market view.
  3. Wait for the appearance autosave status to confirm completion.

Control sidebar backgrounds and borders

Show sidebar backgrounds and borders adds visible containers to inner section navigation and the watchlist. Turning it off produces the more integrated terminal treatment. This choice affects the sidebar surfaces and borders, while the main navigation still has its own selection and hover states. A sidebar can therefore remain usable when its container frame is hidden. Test the choice with an expanded inner sidebar and the right watchlist; a collapsed rail is too small to reveal all of the visual differences.

Keep meaningful chart colors distinct

Application palettes update neutral canvas, axes, grid and text without replacing every intentional chart color. Custom candle colors, drawing colors, exposure colors and link-group identities retain their own settings where the chart supports them. Account chart themes are separate saved records and can be applied through the chart's own template controls. If one series remains a different color after changing the application palette, inspect that chart's custom settings before assuming the account appearance failed to save. The same distinction helps preserve the meaning of existing annotations.

Use reduced motion for display behavior

Reduce motion in Preferences disables nonessential animation without changing the observed values, market session or calculation inputs. It is useful when decorative transitions are distracting or uncomfortable. The setting does not promise that live prices stop updating; updates are part of the data display rather than a decorative effect. Likewise, choosing a different palette does not reset your chart's historical viewport, delete drawings or move a paused view to Live. Use the relevant chart navigation controls when you intend to change its time range.

Troubleshoot a preference that does not persist

If appearance returns to an earlier choice, first verify the signed-in account and check whether the previous autosave reported an error. Changes in another session can legitimately advance the account revision. Reopen Preferences from the latest account state, choose the intended palette once and wait for confirmation. For a contrast problem, report the palette name, affected control and a screenshot with its surrounding surface. Include whether sidebar containers are enabled. This gives support a reproducible presentation case without confusing it with missing market data or a chart's independent custom colors.
