Add and remove watchlist symbols

Keep up to 100 supported instruments in the right sidebar.

Open the saved symbol manager

The right Watchlist rail keeps a compact set of instruments available while you work. Open Manage symbols or the plus button in its header to change the saved list. Start by checking the account and the active page: a list saved under a different email belongs to a different account, and Order Flow interprets selections in its futures workflow. You can keep up to 100 supported instruments in the list. The manager is for choosing instruments, rather than subscribing to a new billing plan or supplying provider credentials.

Search the instrument catalog

Use the catalog search and select the listed instrument that matches your intended asset. A cash index, ETF and futures product can describe related markets while remaining distinct instruments. For example, selecting an index does not implicitly choose the related futures contract in an Order Flow chart. Read the displayed symbol and available identifying details before adding the result. If the search returns multiple dated futures contracts, decide whether you want a product that resolves its current contract or a particular dated instrument for a specific investigation.

Add and verify a row

Choose the catalog result, select Add symbol and confirm the row appears in the watchlist. Duplicate symbols are not added twice, so repeated clicks on the same result do not create several independent quote subscriptions. Select the newly added row to inspect its expanded quote and available source information. This is a useful check that you chose the intended instrument rather than another search result with a similar name. An added row can legitimately show unavailable fields while its instrument remains saved.

  1. Open the right Watchlist rail and choose Manage symbols.
  2. Search the catalog, inspect the result and choose the intended instrument.
  3. Choose Add symbol, then select the saved row to inspect it.

Choose futures product or dated contract

In a futures workflow, a product root and a dated contract serve different purposes. The product can resolve to the currently supported contract, while a dated contract identifies the specific delivery contract you chose. Verify the resolved contract and exchange in the quote or chart details, especially around a roll. A chart saved for an exact contract does not become a continuous adjusted series simply because its root is familiar. When comparing screenshots or alerts, record the exact contract that the application actually resolved at the time.

Use selection in the active page

Clicking a watchlist row makes a selection in the workflow that consumes it. Watch the target page's instrument header after selecting, rather than assuming every tool across every page changed to the same symbol. Linked Map widgets have their own group selection behavior, and an independent widget can retain its own settings. Order Flow requires an eligible futures selection. If a click appears ineffective, first confirm that the selected asset is appropriate for the current page and that you are inspecting the intended active widget or view.

Remove instruments without deleting analysis

Use Remove beside an entry in the saved-symbol manager when you no longer want that row. This removes it from the saved watchlist; it is not the same action as deleting a workspace, revoking an API key or canceling a subscription. Check the selected row's identity before removing similarly named contracts. Keeping the watchlist focused makes missing quotes and unusual updates easier to notice. If you hit the 100-instrument bound, remove obsolete rows and then add the new selection rather than trying to bypass the limit through repeated requests.

Diagnose a saved row with no quote

A catalog listing establishes that the application recognizes the instrument, not that the current provider grants live data for it. Expand the row and inspect source, status and timestamp information. Check whether the market is closed, the exact dated contract is supported and the relevant entitlement is active. An unavailable quote is not repaired merely by deleting and re-adding the symbol. For a support report, include the saved symbol, resolved futures contract if applicable, page, approximate time and visible reason so the team can distinguish selection, entitlement and feed availability.
